Poisonous Plants to Cats

Although Lucy has access to the gardens I watch her with due diligence when she displays interest in certain species. They may prove harmful and it is incumbent upon you the responsible owner to provide a safe environment for your cat.
Another factor to consider is bees, wasps and hornets which are attracted to certain flowers. A few years ago my cat Oscar was stung and his paw was swollen almost triple in size resulting in a trip to the emergency vet center for an antihistamine shot to counteract the sting. Naturally this unfortunate incident occurred on a Sunday.
Lucy the Bengal Cat is fascinated with bees and I have to keep her close to me especially in September when the fall flowering Sedums, Rose of Sharon and other plants are loaded with bugs ready to attack.
