Asian Leopard Cats
The proper name for the Leopard Cat is Prionailurus bengalensis. These cats are from Asia. When bred with a domestic cat the offspring are referred to as Bengal Cats. There are several species. Leopard Cats are usually the size of domestic house cats. Leopard Cats have higher legs and their bodies are slimmer than a domestic cat. The Leopard Cat has a small head, rounded ears and their bodies are spotted.
The Asian Leopard Cat is a skillful hunter, excellent swimmer and usually feeds on rodents, birds, insects and lizards. Asian Leopard Cats build their homes in tree hollows, dens and prefer living in forests. Asian Leopard Cats are great at fishing and of course climbing. Their markings are exquisite.
